User Application Development Software Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Perform as a member of the Software Team developing graphical user command & control applications for managing next generation of both commercial and military wireless networking: an advanced communication system built upon innovative spectrum sharing methodologies capable of transparently underlying a wide variety of wireless technologies. Participate in the entire software product life cycle.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, debugging, and technical documentation of graphical user applications for controlling innovative spectrum access systems
Interact with internal and external engineering teams on design and create interfaces with other system elements
Participate in both internal and external technical reviews

Experience Requirements

3+ years of related experience as a user application software engineer
Knowledge of full software development life cycle including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, and testing (regression testing, unit testing, debugging, and source control)
Proficiency in both C, C++ and C# with strong command over object oriented design principles
2+ years experience in database system concepts, design, and implementation
2+ years experience in IP-based command & control implementation
Experience in interface design and or human computer interaction

Optional Requirements

Experience in wireless networking systems
Experience in software security protocols
Experience in design and development of software defined radios
Experience in a functional programming language (lisp, prolog, OCaml, ML)
Experience in semantic web technologies (RDF/XML, N3, Turtle, N-Triples)

Education and Other Qualifications

BSCS or CPE required, MS preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
U.S. citizenship required
