Embedded Software Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Perform as a member of the Software Team developing the next generation of both commercial and military wireless networking: an advanced communication system built upon innovative spectrum sharing methodologies capable of transparently underlying a wide variety of wireless technologies. Participate in the entire software product life cycle.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, debugging, and technical documentation of software components of an innovative spectrum access system
Interact with internal and external engineering teams on design and create interfaces with other system elements
Participate in both internal and external technical reviews

Experience Requirements

2+ years of hands-on experience and solid understanding of:

C/C++ programming in a team environment
Device driver and embedded software development
Multi-threaded programmi
Development under embedded Linux and/or RTOSes
Requirements analysis
Object Oriented Analysis and Design, preferably using UML
Unit and integration testing

Solid understanding of software development and design methodologies and processes, configuration management, and source code revision tools
Self-motivated team player with strong communications skills
Additional desirable skills:

Waveform development in wireless systems
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
Experience with protocol stack development
Experience with digital signal processing application development
Experience with high-level system and sub-system design
Experience with VxWorks or INTEGRITY RTOSes
Experience with event analyzers, profilers and other software debug tools
Experience with scopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers and other hardware debug tools

Education and Other Qualifications

BSCS or EE required, MS preferred
U.S. citizenship required
