Senior Signal Processing Electrical Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Perform as a senior member of a small analysis team developing signal detection and processing algorithms. Tasks include RF propagation and multipath analysis to develop indoor geo-location algorithms; designing algorithms and low-complexity implementation solutions for detection and characterizations of disadvantaged signals in complex signal environments; developing testing capabilities and conducting testing for product evaluation and demonstration. Participate in the entire software product life cycle: requirements (discovery, analysis, documentation, and specification), high and low-level system design, modular design, and functional design, and eventual implementation, integration, test and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- » Responsible for the analysis, design, and development of innovative signal processing algorithms and suporting real-time, low-complexity implementation solutions
- » Interact with internal and external engineering teams on a regular basis to design and create interfaces with other system elements
- » Generate technical documentation and participate in internal and external technical reviews
Experience Requirements
- » RF propagation loss modeling and simulation
- » Cross-correlation analysis, ranging and synchronization of RF signals
- » Advanced weak signal detection algorithms and false alarm minimization strategies
- » Familiarity with over-the-air signal modulations, MAC designs and non-ideal propagation effects
- » Knowledge of background RF noise statistics and characteristics
- » Efficient real-time algorithm implementation
- » Matlab analysis
- » C++ and DSP programming
Education and Other Qualifications
- » BSEE with emphasis in Digital Signal Processing is required; MSEE preferred
- » US Citizenship a plus
