RF Engineer

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Develop high performance RF transceiver, RF systems, and wireless components such as mixers, amplifiers, synthesizers, and filters. Experience in modeling, designing, and building amplifiers, filters, and other circuits in a research and development environment. Participate in all aspects of the design, from concept to system-, circuit-, and PC board-level design.

Responsibilities

  • » Responsible for the analysis, design, development, debugging, and technical documentation of innovative RF systems
  • » Interact with internal and external engineering teams on a regular basis to design and create interfaces with other system elements
  • Participate in both internal and external technical reviews

Experience Requirements

  • » At least 5 years of RF design experience from VHF to C-band
  • » RF system design and analysis
  • » RF and microwave filter design
  • » S-parameter design and modeling
  • » Amplifier and impedance matching design
  • » High dynamic range, multi-band transceivers HF to 3,000 MHz
  • » Experience with EMI/EMC and shielding
  • » Schematic Capture knowledge desired (ORCAD preferred)
  • » RF circuit board layout experience a plus
  • » RF component modeling
  • » Microwave laboratory instrumentation and data collection
  • » Experience with MATLAB and Ansoft or equivalent (i.e. Eagleware)
  • » Excellent written and verbal communication skills a plus

Education and Other Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent experience required; MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred
  • US Citizenship required
  • DoD SECRET clearance a plus
