Mechanical Design Engineer

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Design mechanical hardware subsystems for advanced automated equipment and instrumentation products, including design of enclosures, cooling and packaging of radio electronics.

Experience Requirements

  • » 5 years of related experience
  • » Strong analytical and computational skills in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, vibration, and tolerance studies for mechanical and thermal consideration
  • » Working with Manufacturing and Materials to assure designs are manufacturable and inexpensive
  • » Complete documentation of designs conforming to MKS documentation standards including: detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, lab reports, analysis reports, marketing drawings, manufacturing assembly drawings
  • » Ability to obtain accurate budgetary cost estimates for new designs
  • » Experience with SolidWorks is a plus

Education And Other Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
