Shared Spectrum Company (SSC) has developed innovative cognitive radio technologies for challenging spectrum environments and networking needs. SSC is a pioneer in the development of innovative dynamic spectrum access concepts, specializing in the design and development of hardware and software for high-performance, low-cost transceivers capable of accessing multiple frequency bands. It is currently the prime contractor under DARPA's neXt Generation (XG) program, for which SSC has developed and tested prototype radios and systems. SSC's XG technology enables tactical and commercial radio networks to use available spectrum across wide swaths of spectrum without causing harmful interference to existing users.
SSC's highly skilled and creative people have advanced degrees and real-world experience in radiofrequency (RF) engineering, computer science and law. Our scientists, engineers and other professionals have core competencies in ad-hoc networking algorithms, RF propagation, RF field measurements, spectrum policy, distributed simulations, system analysis, artificial intelligence, mathematics, signal processing, DSP/FPGA design, RF information warfare technology, and RF hardware design.
SSC uses the state-of-the-art equipment that allows for rapid prototyping and precision field testing of products and services. And if the latest off-the-shelf tools are not good enough, we make them ourselves. We have built and nurtured strong, healthy relationships with operational and academic partners with whom we have a proven track record of helping customers successfully deliver results. Our customers include a wide variety of Federal Government agencies, military organizations and businesses large and small.
